FAQs

Power to Change’s Mid Year Days Away is designed to help you connect with international students, make friends, have fun together, ask challenging questions, and explore faith in a welcoming and safe environment.

Mid Year Days Away is designed especially for students, so the primary attendees will be uni students from around Sydney. And yes! Students who are not Christians or part of Power to Change are welcome to come! Mid Year Days Away is for all young adults, regardless of their spiritual background who have a desire to grow in their relationship with God or are wanting to explore and ask questions about Christianity. If you are not Christian, you won’t be asked to participate in any activities you don’t feel comfortable with.

There are plenty of opportunities to get to know people at Mid Year Days Away! In fact, the trip is designed for people who may not know many others as well. During the week there will be many opportunities to share meals and go out in the city with other students from campuses like USYD, MQ, and UTS. So come along and get connected! If you’re nervous about coming without knowing anyone please reach out to us and ask to get connected beforehand!

We will be staying in ensuite cabins that include cooking facilities. The venue has some outdoor spaces to enjoy.

You’ll be allocated a cabin with a few other people of the same gender (except in the case of families and married couples).

Contactless credit/debit card payments can be used on Melbourne’s public transport, but it is not yet fully available across all modes. While trials on trains are underway, you currently must use a physical or digital Myki card for most tram, bus, and V/Line travel.

Take a look at Skybus as an option to travel from the Airport to Downtown (Southern Cross station).

By Public transport, the closest Tram stop from our hotel is St/Royal Pde #17.
