Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Phnom Penh, its capital, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum’s historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country’s northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire.
However, Cambodia is one of the world’s poorest nations. Buddhism is the official religion of Cambodia, practised by more than 95 percent of the population with an estimated 4,392 monastery temples throughout the country. Cambodia needs the gospel, and we can help.
Power to Change wants to partner with our organisation in Cambodia (Campus Crusade for Christ), equipping the university students of Cambodia with the knowledge of who Jesus is, and how his values can be lived out in their communities. These young adults are the ideal generation for positive change and spiritual renewal in Cambodia, and we can help them to graduate with a degree in one hand and the gospel of Jesus in the other.
