Take some time to get away from the distractions of daily life to slow down and rediscover each other. Whether you're married, living together or dating our conferences, 'Love that Lasts' and 'A Day Together' are put together to help you reconnect in your relationships.

You're love story isn't over yet!

You fell in love but real life wasn't far behind. Our marriage conferences will help you invest in and strengthen your marriage ― no matter how firm or fragile. It's time to finally get away and get back to what matters.

What will you learn at a relationship conference?

How to handle issues well as they arise, rather than letting resentment fester
How to express feelings positively, so your partner remains engaged
The importance of maintaining a vital sexual connection
Resolving conflict in healthy, productive ways
Forgiving freely and completely
Increasing your commitment―and your closeness

Here’s What It’s Not ...

Our marriage conferences are not a large group counseling session or small group discussion. Breathe easy: You’re not asked to share intimate details of your relationship with anyone. Instead, you’ll listen to engaging talks from marriage experts, then get alone with your partner in guided projects to practically apply the concepts you’ve heard to your relationship.

Check out some of our tools aimed at helping you and your partner become one. We're not about placing blame but about growth as a couple!

Power to Change's ‘A Day Together’® marriage conference is a one-day event where you will have the chance to get away from the distractions of daily life. Life has a way of overwhelming marriages and relationships. You start out fully focused on each other. But as the years go by, the time you had to simply relax and talk gives way to busy schedules. Before you know it, checking your e-mail at home is more important than carving out a date night together.

On the day mobile phones are turned off. To-do lists are temporarily forgotten. It’s a time to slow down and reconnect together again. Each conference is a friendly, engaging gathering that’s all about making progress, not placing blame.

‘A Day Together’ conference is our one day version of our renowned ‘Weekend to Remember’ marriage conference but the messages are presented live by Australia’s own Families speaker team. Our speaker team messages are biblically sound and focus particularly on the theme of cultivating oneness in your marriage. They are a dynamic group of people able to laugh at themselves with presentations that people can relate to. There is no awkward group discussion; the day is designed for you as a couple to discuss things together privately.

Whether you are married or not, whether you’re on the brink, feeling challenged or have a good marriage and just want it to be even better, we can help you make progress.

Marriage, the way God intended it to be, is a true art form. Your marriage and the marriages around you are coloured by personalities, passions, and experience. Making marriage work is a divinely inspired art form. That’s why Power to Change has been helping couples understand God’s plan for relationships. In The Art of Marriage, we weave together expert teaching, engaging stories, man-on-the street interviews, humorous vignettes, and more to portray both the challenges and the beauty of God’s design.

Do you know someone close to you in marital or relational crisis and asked yourself the question:

“What can I do to help their marriage or other marriages in my community?”

Well…here it is! You can bring Power to Change’s ‘A Day Together‘ conference to your community. You invite the people, and our home-grown Australian speaker team come to you.

Since we launched ‘A Day Together‘ conference in 2005, its popularity has been extraordinary. Hundreds of churches from all denominations, as well as thousands of couples have run and attended ‘A Day Together‘ conferences across Australia.

This live-spoken one-day event has resonated with Church leaders and concerned individuals who see that marriage and family is arguably the largest unmet need in their communities. Churches have started to take the lead by working together with Power to Change to build their own distinctive marriage and family ministry-they realise it is too difficult rebuilding families alone; it requires co-operation and a pooling of ministry resources.

Families come in all sizes, shapes and colours. They are blended, broken, single parent, foster, step, same-sex and traditional. Successfully connecting with such families demands that we take into account their diversity and the new challenges they bring. We believe in the potential of the local church as a critical change agent. Let's work together to help rebuild Australian families.

  • 10 Ideas: Connecting With Your Kids

In today’s activity-packed society, it’s more important than ever to intentionally connect with your kids. By Mary May Larmoyeux Children are a heritage from the Lord.—Psalm 127:3 In today’s activity-packed society, it’s more important than ever to intentionally connect with your kids. Here are 10 ideas that can help you get to know your children better and pass on a legacy of faith and fun.

  • 10 Ideas: Reflecting the Fruit of the Spirit

How long since you’ve had a checkup to assess your spiritual health? By Scott Williams  Not long ago, a seasoned marathoner had just crossed the finish line with an impressive time when he suffered a heart attack and died. From the outside, he looked to be the picture of health, but a fatal condition was hiding on the inside. Every one of us needs an occasional visit to the doctor for a checkup to make sure everything is working alright and that we don’t have an unknown serious internal condition.

  • 31 Questions to Help You Be a Better Parent

Answer these questions with honesty, humility, and dependence on God’s power. By Janel Breitenstein Feeling passionate about parenting? If you’d genuinely like a shot in the arm for your parenting, perhaps these questions can get you started. But remember: Their effectiveness is proportionate to your level of honesty, humility, and most of all, dependence on God’s power to make His presence a reality in your children’s lives.

  • 4 Ideas to Improve Your Lovemaking

By Tricia Goyer I like using the term lovemaking when talking about sex in marriage. Any two consenting adults can have sex, but it takes committed-for-life marriage partners to make love. Lovemaking comforts because it releases tension. A backrub is good for tense bodies, a sexual release even better. God was ingenious in His creation. Through lovemaking we can create life, experience one-flesh intimacy and deep knowledge, enjoy deep pleasure, and even comfort each other in times of stress or sorrow.

  • 7 Things to Remember About Sex

What it’s Important to Remember about Sex By Bob Lepine  It’s no surprise that many husbands and wives think differently about sex. And these differences can easily become a source of conflict in marriage.  With that in mind, I want to suggest seven things men need to remember about sex and seven things wives need to keep in mind as well:

  • Are You Ready to Be a Mentor?

Teaching younger couples to have a great marriage may not be as hard as you think By Sabrina Beasley McDonald You’ve heard about the importance of mentoring younger couples, and you’re even willing to give it a try, but you’re scared. Perhaps you’ve had problems in your own marriage that need to be solved. You’ve messed up in the past, and you’re not sure if you’re worthy to teach others how to do things “the right way.” It’s true that mentoring is not for everyone—there are some couples who have serious problems that need to be worked out. But if you are in a growing, working marriage, you may be the perfect candidate to mentor younger couples in your church…especially if you’ve messed up in the past. Mentoring isn’t about having a perfect marriage. No one’s marriage is perfect because none of us is perfect.
