We want you to help bring help & hope to families!

“Our marriage was destined to fail without a doubt, as we both came from very dysfunctional families. Our marriage was extremely toxic.

But then something extraordinary happened as I got saved … and hope started to spring up inside of me.”

--A Sponsored Couple

Sponsor a Marriage

You don't need us to tell you that there are a lot of hurting couples throughout Australia. Unfortunately, we found that instead of getting help, most couples keep quiet and struggle until there isn't much left to struggle for. There are many reasons for this, but often times when there are relationship issues there are financial issues.

We’d like to invite you to consider investing in marriages financially.  We’ve set up a sponsorship fund to help hurting couples attend marriage conferences and get the help they need. These couples are deeply touched by the generosity of those who want to help marriages grow.

For us, it's the chance to re-light the spark in a relationship that has been snuffed out. Would you consider helping bring life to a marriage that is battling to survive?

Discover God with Your Friends

We are passionate about giving Australians the opportunity to know Jesus personally. Many Aussies are interested in spiritual things, but have little desire to visit a church. So how can they get to know Jesus?

MyFriends helps everyday Christians develop a lifestyle that creates opportunities for their friends and family to discover God’s story together.

MyFriends Lifestyle

MyFriends provides a coaching community that intentionally prays, loves, cares, and shares Jesus with their non-churched friends, family, and colleagues. We’re trusting that Australians will experience Jesus and be ready to discover God’s story together, in their own communities.

MyFriends is designed specifically for a post-modern, millennial, non-churched, western culture. Having originated in Switzerland and now launched in Australia, MyFriends is bearing fruit of new believers and multiplying groups. We’re now inviting pastors, leaders, and everyday Christians to partner with us on this journey to send thousands of Jesus’ followers into the Australian community to connect their friends to Him.

Who Is MyFriends For?

If you’re a pastor or Christian leader who is looking for a way for your people to become disciplemakers with their friends, family, and colleagues, then MyFriends for you!

If you’re a new Christian or have been following Jesus for a long time and would like to help your friends become disciples of Jesus committed to making disciples, MyFriends is for you!

The goal of MyFriends is to form multiplying groups of Christians who are studying God’s Word together and seeking to follow Jesus. If you’re looking for a way to equip people in your group to share Jesus with their friends and family, then MyFriends is for you!

myfriends training schedule

MyFriends Training

Although the principles of the MyFriends Lifestyle are simple, it takes time for these to become natural habits. For this reason we slow the training down so it takes three to five months to complete.

Your MyFriends Learning Community will have one of two schedules - either four Saturdays spread over five months, or six weekday evenings spread over five months.

It is easier to develop a MyFriends Lifestyle if you have three to five friends who are going through the training with you. This will allow you to form a local MyFriends peer coaching group where you can help one another live this lifestyle during and after the formal training ends.

Periodic webcam gatherings take place during MyFriends Training with all the groups involved in your Learning Community to help people with questions, hear stories, and to pray.

You will have the opportunity to interact with other participants through instant messaging - to share prayer and praise points, ask questions, and encourage one another.

The days are long but the years are short.  It takes a lot of effort and hard work mixed with a healthy dose of patience to be a good parent.

We have those moments where we see our kids take great steps and our hearts swell with pride but far too often, in the midst of sheer exhaustion, we have to endure the arguments, the foolish behaviour of children and the unwise choices.  It's at the end of a long day like this that you feel like you just need a break.  We can't give you that break but we want to help you as you move through the parenthood maze.

Families come in all sizes, shapes and colours. They are blended, broken, single parent, foster, step, same-sex and traditional. Successfully connecting with such families demands that we take into account their diversity and the new challenges they bring. We believe in the potential of the local church as a critical change agent. Let's work together to help rebuild Australian families.

  • 10 Ideas: Connecting With Your Kids

In today’s activity-packed society, it’s more important than ever to intentionally connect with your kids. By Mary May Larmoyeux Children are a heritage from the Lord.—Psalm 127:3 In today’s activity-packed society, it’s more important than ever to intentionally connect with your kids. Here are 10 ideas that can help you get to know your children better and pass on a legacy of faith and fun.

  • 10 Ideas: Reflecting the Fruit of the Spirit

How long since you’ve had a checkup to assess your spiritual health? By Scott Williams  Not long ago, a seasoned marathoner had just crossed the finish line with an impressive time when he suffered a heart attack and died. From the outside, he looked to be the picture of health, but a fatal condition was hiding on the inside. Every one of us needs an occasional visit to the doctor for a checkup to make sure everything is working alright and that we don’t have an unknown serious internal condition.

  • 31 Questions to Help You Be a Better Parent

Answer these questions with honesty, humility, and dependence on God’s power. By Janel Breitenstein Feeling passionate about parenting? If you’d genuinely like a shot in the arm for your parenting, perhaps these questions can get you started. But remember: Their effectiveness is proportionate to your level of honesty, humility, and most of all, dependence on God’s power to make His presence a reality in your children’s lives.

  • 4 Ideas to Improve Your Lovemaking

By Tricia Goyer I like using the term lovemaking when talking about sex in marriage. Any two consenting adults can have sex, but it takes committed-for-life marriage partners to make love. Lovemaking comforts because it releases tension. A backrub is good for tense bodies, a sexual release even better. God was ingenious in His creation. Through lovemaking we can create life, experience one-flesh intimacy and deep knowledge, enjoy deep pleasure, and even comfort each other in times of stress or sorrow.

  • 7 Things to Remember About Sex

What it’s Important to Remember about Sex By Bob Lepine  It’s no surprise that many husbands and wives think differently about sex. And these differences can easily become a source of conflict in marriage.  With that in mind, I want to suggest seven things men need to remember about sex and seven things wives need to keep in mind as well:

  • Are You Ready to Be a Mentor?

Teaching younger couples to have a great marriage may not be as hard as you think By Sabrina Beasley McDonald You’ve heard about the importance of mentoring younger couples, and you’re even willing to give it a try, but you’re scared. Perhaps you’ve had problems in your own marriage that need to be solved. You’ve messed up in the past, and you’re not sure if you’re worthy to teach others how to do things “the right way.” It’s true that mentoring is not for everyone—there are some couples who have serious problems that need to be worked out. But if you are in a growing, working marriage, you may be the perfect candidate to mentor younger couples in your church…especially if you’ve messed up in the past. Mentoring isn’t about having a perfect marriage. No one’s marriage is perfect because none of us is perfect.
