Mid Year Days Away 2025 is a five-day journey where students can enjoy an international community, explore faith, have fun, make new friends and grow together. Come and Join us for this unique experience! This year we will reflect on LOVE DIFFERENTLY.
What is love? This word is so present in our daily lives. We love people, things, desires, ourselves, and our neighbors. Is Love just a feeling or an action? Let’s explore together what Jesus teaches about Love and how it affects four areas of our daily lives: love for ourselves, our neighbors, God, and the good things this world offers us.
A great environment to make new friends, have fun, be part of an amazing community, and explore faith!

Why should I attend Mid Year Days Away?
Power to Change’s Mid Year Days Away is designed to help you connect with international students, make friends, have fun together, ask challenging questions, and explore faith in a welcoming and safe environment.Â
Who will be at Mid Year Days Away? Can I invite friends who are not part of Power to Change? Can I come if I am not a Christian?
Mid Year Days Away is designed especially for students, so the primary attendees will be uni students from around Sydney. And yes! Students who are not Christians or part of Power to Change are welcome to come! Mid Year Days Away is for all young adults, regardless of their spiritual background who have a desire to grow in their relationship with God or are wanting to explore and ask questions about Christianity. If you are not Christian, you won’t be asked to participate in any activities you don’t feel comfortable with.
Is it an issue if I don’t know anyone else going to Mid Year Days Away?
There are plenty of opportunities to get to know people at Mid Year Days Away! In fact, the trip is designed for people who may not know many others as well. During the week there will be many opportunities to share meals and go out in the city with other students from campuses like USYD, MQ, and UTS. So come along and get connected! If you’re nervous about coming without knowing anyone please reach out to us and ask to get connected beforehand!
What do I need to bring?
You can find a list of what to bring with you to Mid Year Days Away on the ‘What to Bring’ tab.
What is the accommodation/site like?
We will be staying in ensuite cabins that include cooking facilities. The venue has some outdoor spaces to enjoy.Â
Who will I be rooming with?
You’ll be allocated a cabin with a few other people of the same gender (except in the case of families and married couples). During the registration process you can indicate if there are people you would particularly like to room with and we’ll do our best to put you with at least one of those people. However if you don’t have a particular preference or if you don’t know anyone else, you’ll be placed with people so you can get to know some new friends.
